Perkins is always a convenient, inexpensive, kid friendly place to take the family when you don't want to cook yourself. Food is decent if you stick to the tried and true, esp. breakfast. It may seem overly generous to give Perkins 4 stars, but I'm not rating it for the food. I'm rating based on having two young boys and sometimes not wanting to cook. Kids eat free on Saturday and they often have face painters and people making balloon animals. I'm also giving this place 4 stars because when I first moved to the area, this place was horrible. Slow service, improperly heated food, ... Just ick. I refused to go back. Then one day I saw that it was closed for renovations. After it reopened, I decided to give it another chance. I don't know if it has new owners, new management, or what, but they have really turned it around. The staff are polite, service is much better, the renovations make it look a lot better, and I have not had any problems with food being poorly prepared. So it may be silly to review Perkins, but some of us need an affordable place we can be comfortable bringing well behaved kids (but still kids, not perfect). Good to have Perkins a short drive away when you would rather throw a pan at your spouse than make dinner. Lastly, if you are still reading this: tip your wait staff based in what the meal would have cost without the free kids meals. I hate to state the obvious, but apparently a lot of people don't get that they are still doing the same amount of work for a free meal. Also, family friendly doesn't mean letting your kids run around or screaming at the top of their lungs. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. :-)

Regular Perkins experience--mediocre. Yes, I'm reviewing a Perkins! I'll review a Perkins...or whatever. I went there for breakfast. I've been to this Perkins many, many times over the years. Usually, it's meeting a friend for breakfast, late at night. The service was very good. The good was okay, about what you'd expect. I don't think I'd eat at a Perkins these days for lunch or dinner. But I'd definitely do breakfast. I was most impressed by our server. She had a name tag that listed service since 1998. Wow!!! And she was still cheery and Johnny-on-the-spot, despite the fact that she had a HUGE table with about a dozen super old dudes, most of whom could not hear very well...funny. They were also dressed quite snazzy and dapper for a Perkins. Sometimes, watching the people is more fun than the food. -Daddy Maxx Retro

In the recent struggle by Perkins to change their brand to be a broader selection of items and not just a pancake/muffins/pie restaurant (read: Denny's wannabe), this location makes a huge mistake in messing with the full proof, All-American, unbeatable and simply divine entree of comfort food: the roast turkey sandwich. You know what you're gonna get with this, and it's why you order this entree. White bread slices covered with mashed potatoes, turkey breast slices, the whole pile smothered in a puddle of light gravy - salt and all. Ooohhhh no, not at Perkins any longer. I was mortified to get the plate with a circle of mashed potatoes sitting in the center with some turkey meat on top and a drizzle (yes, just a DRIZZLE) of gravy on that circular food in the middle. And get this -- the bread was white buttered toast slices sitting next to the barely gravied meat and potatoes! Asked for more gravy (after bemoaning this wrongful presentation of hot turkey sandwich) and the server brought a small plastic cup with some more. Nowhere near puddle-producing. Alas, I mentioned I owe it to my fellow Midwesterners to show what this chain thinks is progress but is, instead, a sacrilege against a traditional comfort-good entree. Told the server I was going to post a photo. Not her fault - the field of "marketing" has changed the face and plate of a lot of traditional culture. The roast turkey or beef sandwiches should be left alone. Ye shall know this monstrous mistake by the toast slices surrounding the turkey splash. For the record - this location knows me, I've eaten here for years. The constant menu changing nowadays is not going to do it, folks. PS: the spinach/mushroom/tomato omelette is fantastic.

Standard Perkins. Nothing to really set it apart, either good or bad. Service was standard, food was standard, prices were standard. Naturally it is ugly as hell inside and packed full of old people, but what Perkins isn't?

Good service and food. Our waitress was very good and attentive. Decor is the only drawback being a little outdated.

I like perkins, I go here all the time. The waitresses are friendly and the food is decent for the price. I usually get breakfast food here. I got the pie once though, and never got it again. Was not very good. This place is open 24/7 and there aren't many other places that can say that.
